Final project

LED 3d Printed plane

For my final project, I wish to create a plane that will be light up using arduino lights. The light, that will be placed on the front of the plane, will automatically light up and change through the RGB colours with their subcolours (LED rainbow light). This is inspired by this source here, where a person created a arduino RC plane. I found inspiration from this source: https://howtomechatronics.com/projects/arduino-rc-airplane-diy/"
Design: Then, once I sketched it, I designed it in Blender. I found this tutorial on Blender that allowed me to recreate a model plane. This was to help me recreate a 3D version of it as well as defined the color palette of the plane. I chose to stick with the color palette used on the Blender tutorial; blue, white and grey
3D printing: I then brought my Blender file (stl) onto the 3D application Fusion 360. The goal was to print the plane to then be able to add a hole into it which would have fitted the light. I unfortunately did not have any time to print it as it would have taken too long with the time constraint
Coding: I found this website called GeekPub.com which provided me with a tutorial of how to recreate a LED Arduino light. I follwed that Code to be able make it work.
Arduino setup: I did not have the chance to fully recreate the product, but I did start the setup of the Arduino. I did not get the chance to try it out with the code to make sure it was working

This is what my final project is suppose to be like, the Arduino setUp and the video shows how the light was suppose to work on the plane.
I wish I had more time to properly run my code and try it out. I would have liked to try and print my plane to then add the light in in. I think i have a good concept of what i wanted to achieve, but the execution is failing.

CapiSkills

I belive i am situated on level 6 for VA.1 Creating Visual Art. I am able to share my ideas and give my opinion on certain subjects that are of interest to me. For this project, I brainstormed a couple of ideas with my friends to be able to provide a unique and creative project.
